Our
family began painting houses in the New Orleans metropolitan area in the
1960's as a division of a relative's construction company that was the
primary developer of an eastern New Orleans subdivision known as
"Village de Lest".
In 1967, Wayne H. Wellmeier, Sr., began operating under the trade name
"Wayne the Painter". After landing a few highly visible
houses along St. Charles Avenue near the Carrollton area, the company
began developing a strong name recognition by local Uptown New Orleans
homeowners and by the mid-1980's, Wayne
The Painter became a household
name in the residential painting market.
Over the years, second-generation owner, Wayne H. Wellmeier, Jr.,
continued company operations while expanding into more specialized
markets by continuing his construction education and training. In
the mid-1990's, the company expanded into full service carpentry and
termite repairs, kitchen renovations and custom
additions. In 1998, the company opened a new division called Millennium
Construction & Renovations,
which specialized in residential new construction and custom additions.
We now offer full construction, renovations, and electrical services, Wayne's
Electric. With over 37 years of renovations experience, we offer
services as replacing a rotten weather board, also known as clapboard,
to taking a house apart and rebuilding it from the roof down to the
foundation.
